UNICORNS & RAINBOWS ( Part 1 of 3 )

By Damon Tarloth

I was asked if I would write something not so dark, something light, something happy...
( So here it is Darlene Daire! )

Unicorns, daffodils, with love in the air,
The springtime sun warms the skin,
Nothing but happiness and no more cares,
Excitement and joy beam from within...

Skipping through the forest hand in hand,
With pixies and my other new found friends,
Virtues of good define this land,
Tunes of harmony from the birds begin...

Flowers made from a sugary powder,
Exotic colors never seen before,
Some are sweet and others are sour,
So exquisite these taste always wanting more...

Vanilla cake mushrooms with a filling of cream,
Looking for something to quench my thirst,
Appearing to my right is a chocolate milk stream,
Drinking my fill in this wondrous dream...

Trees bear fruit that never taste the same,
Gumdrop rocks of every color and shape,
Any food or possible flavor is attained,
Using your mind to alter and create...

Testing a theory as a purple diamond appears,
A land of wishes this seems to be,
Whatever you want become instantly real,
This place of happiness and tranquility,
I can have anything I want in this reality...

Weeks pass by and I am still here,
Each day better than the one before,
Time goes on but night never appears,
Only one thing I still long for...
