Verbum Dei

By Mad Hatter

Your words are a seed that is planted before my eyes,
Let grow the spine of God that I will climb,
Like a boy to a beanstalk.

I climb and climb, getting so high,
I will see for myself that which is divine,
And I will pierce God’s mind.

What is it that is to be feared?
I will find truth to that which is revered.
I will see from the eyes of God.

I will hear the thoughts that none question,
For a moment, I request cession,
Let me hear the world through God’s ear.

I will reach the top and climb down again,
I will play the role of Cain,
Then be crucified as a God-tongue Abel

I reach the top of God’s spine,
Adrenaline through me, I climb inside,
Heart racing, eyes wide.

You see, the skull of God is almost empty,
It holds but one standing thing,
This is a mirror.

And as I gazed upon the mirror I learned,
That which people love and burn,
The only thing that God can teach.

We are all our own God.

So I've been told and so I have told. Not MY reason behind the writing but glad to see it is open for such interpretation ^.^
