Setting Fires

By Lab Rat

I'm a hard ride, and I want you to see the real me
Feel my hands glide, my tongue slip past the edges
Of your little white lies, speaking delicately
Past thighs,  crimson skies, and ledges

Crooked thoughts swirl through psychosis
Partake of the fruit, ingest the disease
The years back, did little but give me halitosis
Now I'm back biblical, parting you like the red seas
Call me Moses, stealing you away on
Hell bent sabbatical

Touch me, like I'm a deep bite
Claws and fairy tales wrapped in spite
Its just you and me tonight
Bend over backwards so I can swallow
You wide, take you down into twilight
The withering pools, shallow

Know this delight, take it, rip it out
Steal away my clout, like a thief in the night

The only one that could understand all these
Perverted little commands, shackled cruel on a breeze

Unpeel back my reprise, like the skin off my back
The sudden shock is always worth the surprise
And I think if you dig deep enough
You can get to my heart, if you claw just right
Get past the fluff, the stuff that boils around in my dark
The lungs inhaling the blight, I think you'll find the rhythm
The cadence, the beating thrum of my core, my guts
The score of my anthems, the things that make me nuts

Like the only one that reads my maps
When we're lost on back roads, hell bent tramps
Twirling down blindfolded going sixty five
In a blackout countryside drive
Find you and me on that route to the ledge

For our suicide dive that plunges off the narrow edge
Of our razor wire

You and me baby, deep down the dredges of our mires
Take a steep breath, and lets set us some fires
