Stones and Miscellany

By lupus tenebrae

Stones, smoothed by
weather and matters of time,

sleep; interspersed amongst
man-made miscellany

polished 'til it glints
with the overcast eve.

The babble of adjacent
streams, deep in conversation,

drones in gentle song
whilst minnows dart

then vanish into cloaks of silt;
slivers of skittish silver seized

...swallowed by the murk.

It felt the same to me, but the vision was met and I couldn't add anything more without it seeming like I was padding it out...this isn't the best example of my work, by far, but I appreciate your feedback on it, nonetheless.
