She Walked In

By SirEnders

This world is slowly deteriorating,
Everyone is quick to start hating.
Deaths are off the charts,
Due to dead, solemn hearts.
When one is feeling down,
They feel to make others frown.
Not everyone deserves to be living,
That’s what makes life so thrilling.
Anyone could be picked by Death,
At any moment you could lose breath.
The longest living people are the worst
You always pick the best flowers first.
No one seems to care until it’s too late,
Everyone eventually is fed up with hate.
I have finally had enough of it,
Time to meet Death in the pit.
Get home and write my last goodbye,
I will not be going above the sky.
With tears in my eyes I’ll step on the chair,
It’s my choice but the world’s lack of care.
I’ll kick the stool, but she walks in on me,
She screams and gets the stool to cut me free.
I fall apart in her arms, can’t contain the tears,
She just holds me and knows about past years.
Whispers “Never again, please” quietly crying,
I try to keep calm and breathe, tears drying.
Try and get her to leave me to my noose,
Doesn’t let me go, now her arms are loose.
She refuses to go for she knows what I’ll do,
To this day she checks on me and I for her too.
