All Seeing Eyes

By mikeygreenleaf

Thoreau said,
"All good things are wild and free"
So better if you let me be!
I have no use for what's in place
The current system losing face
Our way of life was better when
The tribal spirits learned in men
Were keen on nothing 'cept survive
Lest they trip their current stride
I'm reaching out from many lives
To when these relatives did thrive
I ask for guidance from a time
When empathy was not a crime
A quiet few would rather lead
The smallest of the human need
And legislate their narrow minds
Pretending there's no kind of crime
I'm scared for people as a whole
Who take no active type of role
In fighting for their fellow man
Disarming brother in his plan
To rule un-educated minds
Exploit your ignorance to find
That fear has been a useful tool
Very thread wrapped round a spool
Sewn together seemingly, to
Hold control of you and me!
