Friendship Bracelet
By lupus tenebrae

steadfast strands both solemn and
sun-bleached, proud symbolism
discarded by road-
side, where transient wrists once
entwined, long faded from view.

I personally, pondered this in reverse. If that colourful thin strands of twine could tell you its life story of, 'The Once Was', just imagine what that would do to our poetic senses. Fascinating to think... yeah? -Bows to you

Wow! There is much truth to that. What was once a proud, and powerful, symbol of friendship...has been lost or discarded, forgotten and left tattered. This speaks worlds of truth to how disposable relationships end up being in our current culture. Thanks for the share.
