The KrunkKrunker's and the KrawKrawer's

By Bill_Hicks

Corvids truly know the wind

Feather's plucked from inky constellations
ungripping
the nighttime draft

Relaxed

Easily conforming to the swooshing flow

Never hot or cold
Always present to deliver souls
Blood spilt for
Murderous
Oasis

KRUNKKRUNK KRAWKRAW

Commonly mispronounced by mortal mouths

KRUNKKRUNK KRAWKRAW

Like consonants and vowels
Consistently coinciding

KRUNKKRUNK KRAWKRAW

Splitting Raven tongues
Bending death's voice
To the will of the living

CAW CAW

Says the human

KRAW KRAW

Answers Divinity

Rolling Drolls
Flickering clicking

Noises so complex
Make voices perplexed

Gangrenous feet of abandoned babies
Fermenting corpses covered in Rabies

Feasts too common for primate taste

Unbridled passion abandoned in haste

Driving ribbed clawing fantastical hunger
Lifted unto willows, windows and wires,
Dark corners where old men would tell the younger:
"Beware of the Corvid's native homeland mires"

It is said that Corvids were the original Valkyries
Until immortal Viking souls placed
Large breasted
Women
With
Winged
Helmets upon rainbow horseback

At night these stoned Berserkergangs
would stare into the Aurora Borealis
Thinking of their mothers
Until a Corvid would give that eternal shout

KRUNKKRUNK KRAWKRAW

And the spirit of haggard witchcraft was understood
To bring life
With
Darkness

KRUNKKRUNK KRAWKRAW

Did you know all human wars are to feed the Ravens?
They hypnotize us into endless slaughter with their calls
Tell anyone this and they will kill you, claiming "craziness"
And the prophecy fulfills

KRUNKKRUNK KRAWKRAW

Odin had one eye

One of his Ravens plucked it out,
so he named it "Logic"

The other Raven let one be,
so he named it "Memory"

KRUNKKRUNK KRAWKRAW

Vikings too vicious for Danish kings
Were banned to Iceland
To kill each other off
Feeding the blackwinged oceangliders

Exiles knew too well of death
the other side
Whispering commands into Corvid ears
Unkindness returning to the homeland
whence outcasts came
Carrying out assassinations
singing to the subconscious
reeking unbeknownst revenge

KRUNKKRUNK KRAWKRAW

That's all it took
To end humanity
