The Golden Owl

By netherbound

An owl feathered in gold
With the tongue and tail of a serpent
See her perched in a dying olive tree
Piercing eyes of wisdom old

"Follow me," she beckons
"For I have somewhat to show thee
In this dream which you dream
Follow as your vision begins."

And so I did as she commands
In an instant the scene had changed
Cavernous underworlds unfold
A buried city at hand

My feathered host spoke:
"Kur-nu-gi-a is its name-
Nothing good ever enters
And nothing is ever let go"

"Hear their damned lamentations
So erotic to my soul
Their eyes alit with embers of lust-
The only fires of this nation."

"I have brought thee hither
To view this awful scene
And to know this is the place
Which you will dwell forever."

…

Dark is she, but brilliant!
Black are her wings, black on black!
Her lips are red as rose, kissing all of the Universe!
She is Lilith
Blacked night witch
Forever, Lilith

Expressive, original and to the point. This brought tears to my eyes as it was so much like a song.
