Drowning

By Korruption

The world spins slowly
The clock on the wall grows quiet
The silence sneaks in
Waiting
For you
To become something they want you to
And you tried to fight
You said no so many times
But the darkness is suffocating
It drags you down
To the lowest of lows
You know there’s a light
The only hope

But you’re too far away
At least that’s what it seems
You’re bursting
Tearing apart in your own mind.
You beg
You scream
For relief
That will never come

You’re a husk
A shadow of what once was
You can’t breathe
They didn't ask you to

But you know
Because you always have
That some time
You will escape
And when you do
There will be hell to pay
