Immortal

By Phalanx

She makes my insides talk.
This is an abnormality, a false function, I wished for.
You are so beautiful.
Stay with me.
No matter how ugly I am.
I'm not going to believe in what they put here
For us to die, it's nice when we pretend.
I want us to be alive when we sober up!
To hell in a frozen hand with this breath and
I just want them to suffocate.
Somewhere, in another universe, I look like the man you wanted.
I can't stop loving the worlds that shift beneath my feet.
I dance in vibrations, side stepping pitfalls
With candles between portals.
I step between worlds or whatever the immortals call it.
I am spread between so many that you would have to kill
Your course, back tracking for me to die.
I am your curious mortal with forever eyes.
I know, where did you get those eyes?
I saw you walk because I followed.
I see you talk with my ears
Using sense that grew to understand and listen.
I speak plain but, not your native tongue.
You can't keep God in your pocket.
I'll steal as many breathes as it takes to follow you home
Even if I have to leave my flesh behind.

The blasting that's beating the inside of my chest, you heard. Love doesn't need flesh to survive. We can make spirit skin with what we have on hand. This place is a battle ground, i want us to stay and have allies to protect what people don't know they have. It's a war for not just one but, all of us.
