is this real?
By Jesse Guzman
Is it unfathomable
To believe we're already dead?
To believe we're already dead
Could it just be that you're
All figments in my head.
Illusions on the surface
Fabricated ideologies
Call me delusional
Feed my anxieties
I shouldn't think so much about it
The notion is maddening
That all the worlds suffering
May not even be happening?
But they are! Was this necessary?
What's the point of it all?
Torturing artificial feelings
Byproducts of a creation so flawed
Another case of trial and error
Cause when we're all gone
The only proof we were even here
Is everything we did wrong.

I know the questions I ask myself. They're not far off from your own. I think it's real and none of us have all the answers. I refuse to believe, even introduced to theory and contemplation that this miracle, at times brutal and disgusting, could ever be all for not.
