The interest of you

By Jessica Orr

This steeple before:

Mesmerize growth,
your handsome features,
the news flash
at the church hens,
pecking sordid fancies
from thin frost of you;
coy leaning in touch.

The door up:

The hiding of me
in your hands
for I'm scared
in light knowing the heart;
the ode of stern stare
of improbable;
forgive me.

The window stair:

My hand trusting the you;
the guide in the forest trove
of wanting your taste
on me;
the stare down
on folly we share
as they troop and trouble
for their god;

In tower reflect:

The crows bear your lips
to that cloud-
let's go
and join that split second
of lock;
eyes find strobe remembrance
as you slit me good;
I tuck your
shirt back
as you merge back
to the clout of them.

Over courtyard, cigarette:

The take
of the minstrel strings;
leaves an echo
of notched climbs and laughs;
The future coughs
and I want it to choke
without you;
why I am not the wind
without the spring;
the ghastly night is not full
of sweet crickets
and lavender
for I am aimless.

Sitting spring:

There goes thoughts
like the interest of you,
I catch my tell-

the start of me;
the end is you.

Sooth and beautiful-
I bake again under my sun;
a tan,
and peace in memory.

    The more I read of you the more impressed I am with your ability to break down and almost segregate the composition whilst retaining the whole, peppered with lines that almost don't make sense but tug on a corner of the mind like they should be making more sense than currently grasped... Long story short, I like your method.
