Cynical Satellite

By mikeygreenleaf

At my expense, she buys her way
Delights in awful things to say
Lips curling ready hold their place
Poised to leap right off her face
Appreciate me? Hardly not
What an entertaining thought
That she considers all but self
A logic lonely on the shelf
My heart begs "listen let it go!"
"Give the time for her to grow"
Tell me woman can the moon
Eclipse the ego of your swoon?
Or will the stars lend you their aid?
The sun would sooner offer shade
To cool the molten of my core
Returning igneous once more

I must say this is the first time I've read your work and I like it. There are a lot of pieces I read I have to force myself through but, this is definitely not one of them. I really enjoyed reading it. Nice work man.
