Open Water ;;

By whisperingwalls

Oh darling though we travel so far away
no distance rests between our souls

They float away on corporeal forms
to glide and skate over open water

dreams wander
spirits entwine

to plunge and dance
beneath the surface.

No bottle lights my pen tonight
vile wretched poison
though my hand deftly stroked-

My heart shipwrecked
abysmal curse
no compass

For I have lost my love:
what use is blood black as ink?
