For she is the fire in my mind
The source of passion in my soul
The love I once gave her
Wrong though it was then
Is the truest I have ever known
She was my hope as a dreamer
That I could find forever
Wrapped in some lovers arms
I may not have been her first
But she will always be my last
Times like these I pity
The others I have dated
Those that I have married
Because of those times
I had forgotten where my heart goes
Every time that it returns
flowers in the wind...cast,
scatter gently as they fall
