Evening's darklings at high noon

By cadymae

Fried from the inside

Their little talons were forced
to relinquish their hold and fly away

Gibbering into the air
the sunlight surprised them

Your lizard mind's mind's
infestation of darklings

Free at last!

Odd that sunlight hurts huh?
Love burns too.

It all sucks.

Go find a new hole to fester in
away from the bright light of normalcy

***

You know that double possessive is bugging you
A possessive's possessions fingerprint scars are deep tho

and true.

Some faerie folk burn with sunlight, indeed they're darklings.
