prosy palliative.

By Dreaming in Stanzas

The truth is, without you
I may never have seen the beauty in being insane,
Or the insanity in striving to be mundane.

Without you,
I may never have traversed the world
[Though in truth,
I haven't travelled to nearly as many places as you've taken me.]

Without you,
My dreams would be prosaic.

.And.

There may come a day
When I don't drink you in
To taste the world-
Or numb the pain of reality

-But until then I simply thank you
For the chance to lose myself,
If only for a few hours,

And I succumb to you once more.

Excellent tribute to literature and what it can do for you. It is really interesting how widely available the opportunity to see through another's eyes has become, benefit from their experiences, learn their lessons, avoid their mistakes, visit new places...and so few people seem to do so anymore. Great piece, I enjoyed this very much! Ciao, T/S Scholar

...excellent. the adventure, romance, & wonder of being taken & loved, boldly loved: the promise of a book...
