Mercy

By quantummysticist18

I've felt the most tremendous impact crushing skeletons into dust,
Withstood the fierce gale sabotaging the fledglings
Who try desperately to fly from the nest.
I disrobe from this grand regal wardrobe of morality
In the presence of my dear departing nurse
Who has treated my wounds so faithfully.
Tears age as they roll down my warm cheek,
Zygotic salt and brine finding itself bald and old.
I beg the weather indoors for mercy
Glued to my wrinkled bedsheets and gasping for air
And I sink into the abyss feet first,
My stunned face the last to disappear.
