Perhaps Later, Ms. Oasis

By Kristoff

Ms. Oasis is the one who haunts my eyes
The one who makes up stars in my sky
Hopefully later, perhaps in time
Perhaps even after our goodbyes

But eventually she'll know how resplendent she is
I am sure she'll realize it, and look back upon this
And murmur "He was right," and then you'll miss
The times upon times I serenaded your beauty

For, perhaps later, she'll find my words
And know that I was more than a nerd
I can assure my words aren't unheard
Now that my Ms. Oasis is free as a bird

Back to the present, presently now
Forever remember, never forget how
I stand up and take a bow

...

At how you radiate your beauty even more now.

Good one Kris, and you can't blame so many girls for being reluctant when it comes to accepting a heartfelt compliment. Too many others have proceeded you no doubt with less than platonic intentions OR perhaps just low self-esteem. Don't give up; you'll catch her in a weak moment eventually. Well-said and now go sit in the shade before you get heat stroke! :)
