Moonshine

By mikeygreenleaf

I wish I could save your feelings in a jar
Drinking at will to feel just who you are
Distilled in my heart with the utmost precision
Measured amounts under "strict supervision"
Crystal decanter to accent your display
Over consume on you each of my days
Stumble and giggle and strut pridefully
Til I trip on myself walking on my own feet
I might be a fool but it's only for you
Unless I count you then the sum equal two
Sorry but making no sense is the way
That my mind stays in step with things that I say
Still at a loss for the right set of words
To redeem for my stutter and abuse of adverbs
I love you is proper and all I have left
My empty glass victim of felony theft

I don't ever know how to comment. I'm stumped. Great write, nonetheless!
