A Note To God

Dear God,
Do you have an angel to spare?
This man is in need of some heavenly care.
It’s not that you haven’t been doing your job
I’m sure that to some it might seem I’m a snob
It’s hard not to act tough when life is unclear
Spending my time with my back to my fear,
Behind these closed doors I continue to pray
Begging forgiveness at the end of each day
For the sins I commit regularly to survive
Life and its trials without losing my stride
A companion is all I can ask from you now
To help raise these lines that lower my brow
I know it’s too often I ask for your help
Impulsively acting to help just myself
I suppose once again before I think of just me
Bless all on this earth who feel just as guilty
Cursing the sunrise as soon as we wake
Taking for granted the breaths that we take

I see where asking for constant help seems selfish to you, but in reality you keep your spirit alive by asking to rid of such guilt. I see you as a completely selfless person, anyone willing to pray for others shows just that. The nature of our intentions is what holds us hostage, but only when we're not willing to change. It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who has prayed for such things. My only hope to you is, that you are every bit as happy as you deserve, and that your prayers have been answered.
