Street Rats

By mikeygreenleaf

Accept all the rules?
I think we shall not!
We spend our lives learning
How not to get caught
Artfully dodging
And fencing our time
Pickpocketing hearts
In love with our crime
Our feelings as quick
As the sleight of our hands
The thieves of this guild
Pledge all to no man
Keep what you kill
But what good serves a ghost?
Save haunting the dreams
Of a murderous host.

The rhyme made this so catchy that I got lost in the moment so when I got to the word "pickpocketing" I shouted it. Don't ask, I think I'm mental. An entertaining read, sir Mikey. ★YOU SHINE LIKE A STAR★ Scholar
