lipstick stain on the teddy bear.

By Star

I smelled candle
         s
           m
         o
            k

when I got home tonight.

and I recall that I made the bed when I got up this morning.

there's clothes on the floor that aren't even mine.

whose earring is that on the pillow next to my night stand?
whose lipstick is smudged on my teddy bear?

and...

I can't question this anymore.

but...

I'll have you know,

I loved you first
when there was no one else.

Wow, this is powerful poetry, you painted the scene as if I was looking through your eyes, and the emotion was wrenching. well done

Damn two timing bear-bear. All jokes aside_the past cannot hurt you anymore, someone just recently triggered a few lingering ghosts is all. I say... rid yourself of caged thoughts, love. Don't become a victim because you're too valuable in nature. .squeezes the Starling.  Scholar
