this is really kind of sad ana, maybe im looking into it to much but it seems you have sacrificed to something that may have died, but not in a physical sense. more of a feeling or emotion. and i say its sad because you have gone to great lengths to be with this person. maybe the seahorses dying were your way out and now you have no way out because of the sacrifice maybe. idk, but i find your poems are always fascinating and i love picking them apart, and even when im not even being close. its still an interpretation. and this is how i kind of read it, and this one has a depressive feel to it and its one of poetries finest. beautiful, just beautiful.
