Seven years since I last saw your smiling eyes
Traced the freckles splayed across your nose
Heard your lips sleepily whisper my name
Felt the lightness of your touch

In my fondest memories
My eyes are dazzled by your love
My nose attuned to your scent
My lips yearning for the taste of yours

In my darkest moments
My eyes water the flowers I hold
My nose aches for your Eskimo kisses
My lips can't remember how to smile

How do I forgive you for leaving?
For leaving me to do this alone?
I awake with a scream at my lips
As the memory of you grows faint

My fingers tremble as I stumble through life
Wandering and lost without your love
Moving within the shadows
Existing but living no longer
