Second Sight....

What a wonderful gift I have been with bestowed
The greatest of all the debts by me is now owed
Eyes that I closed so tightly, opened yet once more
I get to experience it all again, a truly magical chore
I've been allowed to start over, from the very moment of birth
It took me a while to realize it, I did not understand it at first
When my journey began unfolding, is when I started to get the jist
I was abled then to see new things, things the first time I'd missed
As I gazed out the window, everything looked shiny and new
I've seen it all before I know, but never from this grand a view
The night sky was so stunning, the very breath from my lungs it nearly took
Slow down, no need for running, amazing the things you see when you look
Such a curious light high above this clear night, I want to go there for a visit
Is there a man in it? It is made of cheese, right? It's not too far to travel is it?
Look, the sky frowns in 7 colors, that tree needs a haircut, what a busy bee nest
When rains turn the white color, it's sure cold out, making a snowman's the Best!
It's warm again, birds zoom between willows, with my wings oh how high I could go!
I'd rest way up there on those floating pillows, look at all the cool shapes they show
There's a tiny airplane above us, is it on fire? I see smoke coming from behind it
I'm sure they have a red fire extinguisher, hope they don't take too long to find it!
What a cool tree house you made, it must have took a thousand pounds of nails!
Wonder who made the silver trails, it must have been a whole big family of snails!
At the pool now, with the water and sun, you have tanning lotion I can borrow?
This life has become oh so much fun, I hope they let us come back tomorrow
He looks up at me and says "I love you dad", his deep blue eyes true and bold
He's a most amazing little kid, I have to brag, he recently turned six years old
Each time an experience for him is new
I get to live it again like the first time too!
Each time a blurry teardrop I look through
This bond is the essence of "I Love You"!
