a painting hangs itself

By indefined

seeing all yet
knowing nothing
and feeling
everything

a rock shifting
of it's own will
rolling towards
a stream that
flows against
its nature
around trees
growing more
into the earth
than the sky

mountain peaks
stretching towards
the core of the world
and starry nights
enveloping fractures
of a multi-verse
containing but a
fraction of space
yet surrounding all
with it's vast depths

a painting hangs
on the cold floor
seen from the wall
yet not the ceiling
as the sense of
nonsensical senses
overwhelms the
artist's strokes
and the frame frames
a mirror instead

seeing nothing yet
knowing everything
and feeling
all

"overwhelms the artist's strokes and the frame frames a mirror instead " - I love that line especially! I was just reading something last night that had a quote that went something like 'everything an artist chooses to paint is really a self-portrait'. I like the notion. Ciao, T/S Scholar
