The Sun (a spontaneous combustion of the soul)

By A Velvet Tongue

Dance me to the core of the sun..

For I shall not burn

A spontaneous combustion
of the soul
bringing forth
a new chapter
of an ever begining life

For what dies, is open for rebirth
around the next corner, a new day to awaken to
and a soft pillow to rest upon
when we are weary

toss the self mutilating hatred
to the weightless gravital pull
allowing it to float
to an ever nothing
and leave you with serenity
why feed its drooling maw?

we will always know pain
but when we can walk through it
to the other side...

we can know peace, relief...and luxury

dance me to the other side...

Honestly , This tinges the soul. It leaves a state of calm , Mixed with distress. It shows a great level of control to writing in general and for that , I am always accepting. Good stuff. Really impressive.

You include a soft , gentle relationship with your poem. An almost sexual nature that looks down upon itself. It reminds me , Sort of , Of a painting that has long been constructed , And only now , Is starting to properly speak through its colors.

A questioning piece. These are always so blossoming to me. They show an extent of design , A movement that is not often seen in all forms of poetry. And there must be some control put on each stanza.

Dance me to the end of love...;) "to the weightless gravital pull" - loved that line. This was an excellent piece with an excellent message. Never enough hope or answers presented on this site. This offers both.
