A Face in the Net

By saltyman65

Smiling from the shadows of a waking dream,
Projecting persona through a maze of other realities.

Hoping to be seen without ridicule or dissention,
From that fragile perch
on which we lay & display ourselves.

Just a pork chop………..but sincere and true,

the plastique’ flesh looks oh so new.

How fresh the facsimile can appear to the real,
without filling or fervor
the facade
will soon peel.
