Saints turn to sinners
and paupers to princes
lust turns to splinters
and winks turn to winces

Strength crumbles to dust
and virgins to whores
ideals are soon musts
and skimmers soon soar

Rags turn to riches
and faith leads to ruin
brusies lace stitches
and nothing's worth doin'

Life soon finds death
and lungs breath no air
tears soon find breath
and bodies are bare
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Soft turns to scars
and farces find truth
near has become far
and thorns roughly soothe
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Love rides the hate
and battles are lost
fiction finds fate
and up jumps the cost
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Perfection is dwindled
and truth just cant see
naiviety is swindled
and shackles are freed
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Desire turns foolish
and thoughts sleep dormant
angels turn ghoulish
and love is pure torment
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hearts can turn bitter

........and they often will

Winners breed quitters

...........and it's all worth the thrill
