On the Turning of the Wind

By BetaWolfinVA

On the turning of the wind
athwart billowing chaos i ride
crashing through highs and lows
upon each eventide
.
when oft i remember happiness lost
finding no solace in sorrow
nor hope in despair
when i lay alone at night
.
when in arms i find my little daughter
my hope and joy
my love of the future
that is when my soul soars

"My soul soars" - that was a charming way to end this piece on a positive note. I enjoyed this one! Ciao, T/S Scholar

I enjoyed the hopeful tone and conclusion of this piece. The archaic language was also appreciated, only because you executed it with a fluid kind of precision and grace. Thank you for sharing this.
