Rain Day

By Sean Mc Shane

gods of the outer rim
          forever sleeps
          under the jutting jagged rocks
          of the nocturnal routine
          over the falls
                      fools
Eyes of the solar storms
          the four foul winds whither

blessed, wrapped, raped
within a divine misery
under stolen stars
          a guarantee by lost saints

Measurements in a blood countdown
          scars and highlights of
          in a mocking mad (s)laughter

folding over the burnt skin
facing the obscure in a showdown
emotional hit squads
          wayward logic, crushed underneath
Banging for Brazil

Slower . . . now . . .
          an awkward glass slide
          lust ensemble
for underground Angels
          lay a prayer before you
          no reasons left
corrosive collections
broken bits - scattered parts
          thrown gently into the mess
double up ? Triple times 2 ?

pushed over the side of a weak-end
          to drown on the surface
          of hopeful memories
Now,
Freedom is a tattered banner
fly it high over the wasteland
          my past crossing
          in to my present

stale and stalling
pushing my last days ahead
into the turbulent waves
          of a beautiful Oblivion

I love the rain...keep praying for summer to end and the rain to return. This was a beautiful expression, gave me the same kinda feeling as when I have downtime and I spend it reading a favorite book - XXOO Scholar

Awesome poem! That's one gloomy storm you painted out, almost hopeless.
