Wending

By DarkAsh

Savage words, serenely spoken
Half uttered truths and strong hearts broken
When will it ever end
Are we given no chances
No time left then, to mend...

Are we so doomed that we cannot change
Written, more like carved, upon the page
A story told
In blood and bone
Chilling like a teardrop in the cold

Not all stories have happy endings
Some are fraught with woe and wending
Traveling on the dark road
Where none but fools may dare go
Where the pain is all you own

But not all roads still lead to Rome
For there are paths still with ends unknown
Waiting for you to walk them
But once you start
You must stay your course until the very end

It gets better as you get older, and then it stops while you wonder what happened? Cheers DA and good to see you back in action!
