Green House

By Phalanx

Chopping lines from the world we burned,
It all ammounts to plant food.
This high in nitrogen sort of mishap keeps me guessing.
Not my game if I've ever played one but,
None the less, the board is set.
So I suppose this is where we start
Pushing idols around with prayer.
I must say I enjoy the idea of sacrificing gods
To get a piece of you.
Whatever you grew out of will suffice
Giving me somewhat a clue
As to who you will become.
First and foremost, I'm not into watching flowers die
Though, should you fall along the way
I will preserve you, keeping a portion of your ghost
So that you might remember this world and remember me.
Not so much a pound of flesh as a glimmer of light.
Ain't much of a carver myself,
I prefer to leave the specimin intacked.
It's rude to finger paint with someone elses insides,
What you might call socially unacceptable.
All the same you took part of me with you
Leaving me with a reminder of what crossed over.

Can't believe I am the first one to type in this box- I get it. It's hard to commenting when all we can fumble with are generic etchings like, "beautiful." I assure you that this is so much more.
