Kitten please
Baby won't you get down
on your knees?
Come play with me
Her sharp little claws
cause you to pause
Knowing they may cling
and the punctures always sting
She's cute and cuddly
At times a little snuggly
A kitten you may own
but rather be left alone
She takes no demands
Only comes if willing
She won't be dealing
with tones or sudden movement
It tends to make her skittish
Her actions almost kiddish
but still you can't resist
when kitty must insist
on weaving between your feet
and purring when you sleep
She's seemingly so sweet
and when you play with her
She's the one you'll want to keep
