My Little One- Addiction

By Deathkitten

If it wasn't for the little one
I'm not sure i'd be here today
I was down a murky one way path
I walked through wild fire
Played chicken with death
Sucking down lethal doses
Heart pounding through my chest
Shaking
Enough was never enough
Without it
My body had it quite rough
Paranoia
Sweats & chills
Crushing pills
Razors, Straws & Dollar bills
Mirrors frosted
Had no reflection
It was swallowed
by addiction
That's where I wallowed
If it wasn't for my big surprise
I'd be a junkie, drugged up whore
Spreading my thighs
Working for more
I could've died
but to my surprise
My little one
scared me alive
