Fragile Nature

By lupus tenebrae

It’s in the fragile nature of leaves to
disperse as confetti and
to shimmer in twilight

then linger, aromatic, still
as gentle curves of lucid eve.

It’s in the fragile nature of life to
disperse in the twilight and
shimmer as confetti,

then linger in sparse moments, clear
as prisms in a mother’s smile.
