A Songbird at Five

By Virgils Vigil

The first bird sings at five.

A sole song sung from forgiving lungs.

A tranquil tune tantalizes the fading moon.
A sonic wisp summons future forth.

Sing to us—

Let us feel waves of tomorrows—

Tomorrows

And tomorrows forever

I love to hear the birds sing.... their songs are a turning point for the day and a promise of a new tomorrow.... Scholar
