I am Death

By Manperson96

Death

I am known, but feared for my mystery
I am ugly, but beauty is shown
I am death

I am cold, yet a raging fire
I am in the valley, and on the spire
I am death

I am naked, yet robed in fear
I am far away, but I'm always near
I am death

I can be happy, but often bring sorrow
I can take away your fragile tomorrow
I am death

I am unbound, yet wear shackles and chains
I am peaceful, yet I bring pain
I am death

I am a part
Not a complete whole
Without me, there would be no life
All living things must die
For I am death

leaves one speechless sounds similar to a work i had in my journal before it burned in the fire

  • A former member wrote: I really, really like this one. The contrasting dark and light descriptions of death show it as a beautiful, yet ugly thing.
