Is It Natural

By Virgils Vigil

I want only to live naturally—

With no tattoos or piercings,

Only mental scars to show as should be,

And just grass blades between fingers,

I want only to write words that might be red,

Which I would forsake

And for others might admire.

I want Never; for my MindBody will be forgotten

And something might live on,

But it won’t be me in a word but a thought.

I want only to die naturally—

In a car crash or from smoking too often,

Face first—Fading into a tree or the sky or the water.

Wouldn’t that be nice.
