Blackened

By HeadpatSlut

I saw her face again today, from this world I break away-
There's nothing more to say I screamed her name out from my grave-
From the highest mountain top, I burn her memory today-

She was a ghost burned in my soul, her voice a blessed curse in gold-
Her kiss was a knife I used to cut myself to pay the toll-
I swore my vengeance, dug the grave and with their deaths reclaimed control-

Beyond the blood, her face remains, imbedded in my heart, my brain-
I can't forget the faces of the slain, I still can't shake that pain-
So when I die I'll sing her song and scream out loud her name.

I wrote this before Blackened Angel, while I was definately listening to the same kind of music while writing both, I wouldn't really say the two are related.
