Wolf looking at raptors, wishing to fly

By BetaWolfinVA

The wind whoossssshes slowly through the treessss
hear the keyrierie of the hawk reeling
aaahoooooooahoo of the wolves below
watching raptors above, wishing to fly
Oh to fly aloft on silvered wings
letting the world pass far beneeth my feet
-
when all that is lost is gone away
and falls to hope crashing my empty mind
Whispered lovers wrestling together
dancing the spiral dance around again
Why am I here lost and so alone
lacking both lover and child, friendless soul

Author's Note:

well.... POE101 masterwork, hope i did some good at it... what a ride the class was... i felt a strong affinity towards Hopper from the Wheel of Time series - The Wolf that, as a cub, looked at the birds and hopped, trying to fly

The feel of being a small child in the forest in this case a wolf cub..running free though feeling along without a love or friend abd because of this feeling trapted and then seeing a bird and wondering what it would be like to leave the ground and sore high to be free

looking at it, i jumped all over the place... the first 2 stanzas looked to be Hoppper from Jordons Wheel of Time, looks like the remaining stanzas are me... i always wanted to be a pilot. You have to have Depth Perception for that. And i have always identified with Wolves. Scholar
