Revolving Door

By asailorsangel

Concurrent with the reality
that surrounds us
we dodge the
swinging pendulum of time

We walk the worn path
with tired feet and the
broken pieces of our
hearts

In search of the unknown
with our safe places
in tow and our souls
dangling on the chains

Around and around
in life's revolving
door only for it to
spit us out

In the same place
just to watch us
start all over
again......

Concurrent with the reality
that surrounds us
we dodge the
swinging pendulum of time
