"Ignorance"

By Forever Cold

I never gave it a second though,
Never even occurred to me
That I shouldn’t..
Pain seems to blind minds
Eyes witch are always so sharp..
Seeing the bottle,
I never really though what it would do..
Taking up shot after shot,
I didn’t know what else to do..
Thinking about sweet love
That went a rye…
I never felt confident,
“What will I do with out him”

Gods the stupidity of youth..

Soon all the horrid capsules were gone,
And the bottom of the bottle could be seen.
I could see him in my mind.
It seemed like he was laughing at me even then.
“Did you really think we were just friends??”
“Didn’t you think it the least bit odd
That I spent the night with him every day
For a month?”

I knew
I just didn’t want to admit It..
“He loves me, why else would he
Ask me to marry him?”

Gods the Ignorance of youth.

I remember waking up..
I remember the charcoal ..
I remember the beatings after…

What I wouldn’t have given to have him back.
This is truly the Ignorance of youth..

Ignorance of youth. It hit me hard to hear that. If it is that to long for something beautiful, then I dont know about adulthood. Does it even exists then? I truely loved this write. And it makes me very sad. Especialy when I reflect it in myself. Tiger

  • A former member wrote: Have you bothered to read your own poetry? And YOU have the audacity to make some of the comments that you do? Why bother with this site if you have no love for poetry and no respect for it either?
