the sound of standing still.

By eidos

last night I was your forever
and this morning we eat breakfast as strangers
in separate houses. and I want to say that
you're not worth the ink to write out my thoughts.
but we both know that's not the truth.
I just want to not know you anymore.

Oh, how I know this. So very, very well. I never discovered what kept calling me back, nor could I forget. Resonating. Thanks

hits straight to the heart easily... a retrospect tinted with regret perhaps or just a truth admitted quietly instead of shouted in aggravation... it holds much for a concise piece...nicely done

"this morning we eat breakfast as strangers" - I liked this contrast to "forever". I can feel where you are coming from in this one, and I loved the structure and flow. Great job! Ciao, T/S Scholar
