A Puddle of Silk

By Virgils Vigil

Stirring; something slight

Inside. A silent summons

Evokes moonlight milk.

A crescent long to love.

But what poison might I drink?

If from your glass I am to sip

A wellspring of life

To drown and forget

Within.

In Cream;

Cream of flesh, cream of spirit,

Cream of night, to you

May I cede lament alone.

Let through life’s devouring light

And putrid milky romance, delight!

Oh sickening delight!
