Blood spilt

You sharpened your show
of indifference
In attempt to sever
my emotional strings
You twisted the knife
in the soft flesh of situation
But when my back was turned .
You cowardly thing
The death you sought
was to free yourself
And in the fields of my death,
buried your guilt
So you could run
to your greener horizon
Wiping the blade clean
of blood that you spilt

Thanks for reading. I was really trying to express how this person, started off all lovely and caring. Then kept going a bit cold,/ indifferent/ and would never explain why . I was madly in love . But as he didn't have the guts to end, it I did. And on reflection he was pushing me towards that with situation too long and complicated to explain,. Then he would maybe feel less guilt as he didn't actually have to do the deed. But yes, I am pretty sure that buried guilt came back to haunt him! X
