Bright White Man

By Deathkitten

Do not speak against the sun,
The time has now come for fun,
One who inherits the bright white mind,
Remember each turn unto your find,
Do you conquer yourself?
Is it everyone else?
Absolute power,
He stood in his tower,
Dropping a penny to land,
Last grain 3,000th sand,
Slither down the rope,
Make your noose of hope,
Bow your head bright white man,
He who also-ran.

That's white man's burden I guess, though I have always been poor so I feel much more like the penny and the grain of sand lost on the white hot beach.

  • A former member wrote: Personally I dont see any forced rhyming this an amazing poem. Its simply a masterpiece in my eyes.

I like poetry with a meaning that only the writer knows. As a reader it invokes me to read deeper for the meaning. 10/10

  • A former member wrote: The last four lines blew me away. Very clever; startlingly so.
