I hear my heart drop.
like a pin on a glass floor.
In my chests empty space,
where it once washed ashore.


Echoing through the hallway
where I used to hear your voice.
Ripping apart my seams,
but I fear It's not by choice.


I once held an ounce of sanity
but you borrowed it when you left.
My chest now feels completely empty,
and my closet, a terrible mess.


The closet where I've kept my thoughts
and my already miniscule ability to cope.
Not sure I can regain those things,
and I'm beginning to lose all hope.
